The University of Guyana Chemistry club is an educational organisation aimed at fostering the growth of science in our schools by providing information via hosting seminars and conducting school outreaches to educate and equip students about the sciences.
Also the primary mission of the Department of Chemistry is to train competent Chemists who can function effectively in a variety of Chemistry-based working environments, and perform at the highest level. Additionally, Graduates who wish to pursue postgraduate studies will be adequately equipped for the challenge. In the instances where Graduates of the Department elect to enter the Teaching profession, they will be well-positioned to effectively deliver at all levels, especially, at the Secondary and Post- secondary levels.
